2015 PBS co-payment and safety net amounts

In line with changes in the consumer price index, the PBS co-payment and safety net amounts have been revised.  Therefore, the following changes are effective on 1 January 2015:

• the general patient co-payment will increase from $36.90 to $37.70;
• the concessional co-payment will increase from $6.00 to $6.10;
• the general safety net threshold will increase from $1,421.20 to $1,453.90 and
• the concessional safety net will increase from $360.00 to $366.00.
