Unresectable Stage III or Stage IV malignant melanoma

Treatment Phase: Continuing treatment

Clinical criteria:

  • Patient must have previously been issued with an authority prescription for this drug,

AND

  • Patient must have stable or responding disease.

Treatment criteria:

  • Must be treated by a medical practitioner; OR

  • Must be treated by a nurse practitioner where both of the following are occurring: (i) patient care is being shared with a medical practitioner, (ii) the prescription continues existing therapy with this medicine.

Note

A patient who has progressive disease when treated with this drug is no longer eligible for PBS-subsidised treatment with this drug.

Note

A patient who has had progressive disease when treated with another BRAF inhibitor is not eligible to receive PBS-subsidised treatment with this drug.

Note

No increase in the maximum quantity or number of units may be authorised.

Note

No increase in the maximum number of repeats may be authorised.
