This drug should not be used as the first line of treatment.
Other PBS-listed benzodiazepines should have been adequately tried and found to be ineffective or inappropriate.
Authorities for increased quantities and/or repeats may be granted to patients with terminal disease, and other patients who have been shown to be dependent on this item by an unsuccessful attempt at gradual withdrawal.
