Advice of the amendment to the pricing of certain Extemporaneously-prepared pharmaceutical items

Amendment to the pricing of certain Extemporaneously-prepared pharmaceutical items for 1 August 2009.

Please note the following corrections to the prices of the following extemporaneous products and containers in the 1 August 2009 Schedule of Pharmaceutical Benefits.  The items affected include item 7568H Salicylic Acid dispensed price for maximum quantity should be $25.83 with a maximum recordable value for safety price of $27.21 and not $34.07 and $32.90 respectively as noted in the Schedule.  The Container prices for Dropper Container 15mL polythene is $0.84, and for Dropper Container 15mL glass is $0.86 and not $0.86 and $0.84 respectively as noted in the Schedule.  Finally the Drug Tariff price for the Aluminium Acetate Solution 0.1g/mL should read $0.01 and not $0.02 and the price for the Starch for 0.1g/mL should read $0.02 and not $0.01 and the price for Water For Injections, sterilised (b) (extemporaneously prepared eye drops and lotions) 100g/mL should read $7.37 and not $8.45 as noted in the Schedule.

These errors will be amended in the 1 September 2009 Pharmaceutical Benefits Schedule.
