From 1 April 2026, changes apply to the restriction level for macrogol 3550, sachets containing powder for oral solution 13.125 g with electrolytes, 30 and its listed brands, following recommendations made by the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC) in November 2025.

Prescriptions written prior to 1 April 2026 can continue to be dispensed as a Restricted Benefit. Prescriptions written on or after 1 April 2026 must be authority prescriptions endorsed with the streamlined authority code.
