Deletion by AstraZeneca Pty Ltd of Atropine sulfate injection 600 micrograms in 1 mL on 1 December 2010

This product, supplied in packs of ten, will be removed from the PBS on 1 December 2010 at the request of the supplier, which is discontinuing its supply. The Department has identified an alternate supplier and their product should be available towards the end of the first quarter 2011. In the interim this product will not be available through the PBS.

Medical practitioners and nurse practitioners are able to replenish their Emergency Drug Supplies stock of this medicine until 1 December 2010. The supplier of the existing product, AstraZeneca has now identified that, based on existing usage, they will have stock available after the PBS deletion date.
