Outcomes from Price Disclosure

For each price disclosure cycle, the Price Disclosure Data Administrator calculated weighted average disclosed prices (WADPs) to be provided to the Department of Health. The Minister determined WADPs which were calculated in accordance with the National Health Act 1953 (the Act) and National Health (Pharmaceutical Benefits) Regulations 2017 (the Regulations).

Below are the outcomes for price disclosure cycles prior to the 2023 October cycle.

Brand Price Reductions and Savings to Patients

The brand price reductions reports set out price reductions per brand and potential individual savings to non-concessional patients effective on the reduction day.

The brand level price reductions and individual savings to non-concessional patients do not include any brands of medicines that had other price changes, or brands that were new to the PBS on the reduction day.
