PBS Palliative Care Schedule

As part of the Post-market Review of Authority Required PBS Listings, the restrictions for a number of Palliative Care Schedule items will change on 1 June 2016. The initial and continuing treatment restrictions will be simplified and merged under the one item code. The item codes currently listed for initial treatment will be retained, while the item codes for continuing treatment will be deleted. Prescriptions written prior to 1 June 2016 for deleted item codes will remain valid for a 12 month transition period.  The restriction level of some Palliative Care items will also change.
