Confirmation of New Prices Resulting from EAPD Cycles

The spreadsheets attached below set out price disclosure related price changes effective on the reduction day mentioned.  They include:

• ex-manufacturer prices (Approved Ex-Manufacturer Price – AEMP - for pricing quantity, and also the Proportional Ex-Manufacturer Price – PEMP - where pack size is different to pricing quantity)
• price to pharmacy for pack size (ie: price including wholesaler mark-up where applicable),
• DPMQ for supply through community pharmacy, or under s100 arrangement or other specified program
• manufacturer’s claimed prices and resulting premium for any medicines with a premium / special patient contribution
• both the legal brand of pharmaceutical item used in the formal PBS listing instrument and the Australian Medicines Terminology (AMT) description used in the Schedule of Pharmaceutical Benefits for each Trade Product Pack (TPP).

These price disclosure related changes are being made available in advance of the effective date to assist companies.  They come into effect under the National Health Act 1953 and have already been announced publicly (see the announcement for the relevant reduction day under the heading Price Reduction Outcomes from EAPD Cycles above).

The spreadsheets do not include any medicines that have other price changes, brands that are new to the PBS on the reduction day or flow-on reductions to single brand combination items. Those other prices will be available publicly on the effective date and have already been confirmed with companies. 

Wholesalers and software vendors with access to advance notice of pricing can see the new prices on the PBS embargoed content page.
